Business and Medical Ministry-Uganda
Stuart & Heather Abenaitwe

Hi Everyone! Heather has grown up in Southern California and has called Calvary Vista home for more than 20 years. It was at Vista where she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior on an Easter Sunday at the Moonlight Amphitheater. Heather is a nurse with 5 years hospital experience and been doing medical missions since 2019. In 2022, Heather and Stuart met on the mission field in Uganda and were married April 2023. Stuart graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. He gave his life to Jesus in High school during a difficult family situation that led him to surrender and the strength of our Lord. We were both serving with Uganda Kid’s Project (UKP), Heather as a nurse and Stuart as a manager. We also were involved in helping a young mother choose life and are currently fostering the baby. We are also involved in our home village in Western Uganda where we sponsor children to go to school as well as have Bible studies during school holidays.

Soon after marriage we left UKP and found an open door with a Ugandan mission called “Hope for Restoration Initiative.” We are very excited to join our friends there and serve God as a family. We will be serving in Central Uganda where there is a current mission in need of our skill sets. We split our time between Central Uganda and our home in Western Uganda. Stuart will help with overseeing local community projects including a tailoring school. Heather has an opportunity to partner with the local hospital. We also pray to assist in devotions, Bible studies, and Counseling for the community. We praise God for the adventure He has gifted us with and pray for community transformation, growth, and sustainability.
